Das Temazcal ist eine Reinigungszeremonie mittels eines Dampfbades mit Heil- und Aromakräutern, die seit der Antike von den Einwohnern Mexikos, Mesoamerikas und Nordamerikas praktiziert wird.
Es wird mit aromatischen Kräutern angereichertes Wasser verwendet, das beim Giessen auf heisse Vulkansteine einen Dampf erzeugt, der die Muskeln entspannt und die Poren der Haut öffnet und sie reinigt.
Zusätzlich zu diesen physischen Vorteilen wird der Geist auch von den Gedankenmustern befreit, die ihn beschäftigen, was eine vollständige Entspannung und Reinigung ermöglicht. Während der ungefähr zwei Stunden, die die Zeremonie dauert, machen wir eine Pause, um überschüssige Wärme freizusetzen, die Elemente und die verschiedenen Lebensabschnitte werden dargestellt, wir respektieren alles, was das Leben ermöglicht, und wir erinnern uns daran, was es wirklich ist. Wesentlich, befreiend uns unnötiges Gewicht, um unser Gleichgewicht zu finden.

Who is this tour for ?This tour is for those interested in wellness, healing and traditional medicine, spiritual development and Pre-Hispanic worldview. The minimum age for this tour is 16 years old.

Where can I be Picked Up /Dropped Off ?Our prices include Pick Up & Drop Off in front of your Hotel/Villa in Tulum City and Tulum Hotel Zone. If you wish to be picked up somewhere else in the Riviera Maya, this is possible. The extra fee depends on the zone. At the moment of booking you will see the different zones and prices.

How do I know my Pick Up / Drop Off time ?Please be aware that we will communicate your pick up time via a personalized email and it will vary from the automatic pick up time sent by the booking platform as we have to calculate it manually depending on your hotel/villa location. Please be aware that drop off time vary depending on hotels/villas locations and the rythm of each group.

What is the cancellation policy ?Each tour should be booked by paying a deposit. In case of cancellation more than 24 hrs before the pickup, we do not charge you any cost and will give you back your deposit. In case of cancellation between 24 and 12 hrs before the pickup México Kan Tours will take your deposit in order to pay for the costs already made. In case of cancellation less than 12 hrs before the pick up or in case of no show we will charge you 100% of the total amount of your tour. Please understand that we have to pay all our providers and staff although you do not come.

Are there extra fees for credit card payment ?Credit card payments have a fee up to 7% depending on Credit Cards. We recommend bringing cash. Our prices are in USD. Please be aware that we work with a monthly based exchange rate for Payments in Pesos or Euros. When you book your tour, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details.

What is the difference between "Private" & "Private Self Driving" ?The "private" tour includes transportation and driver. The "private self driving" tour does not include transportation and driver. In this case, the tour starts and finishes on the main avenue of Tulum as you have to pick up and drop off your guide and the necessary equipment for the tour (be sure to have enough space!). You will be driving and paying for gas.

What to bring for this tour ?We recommend to bring : Bathing suit & Towel Extra towel or pareo that can be put into the temazcal and get dirty Comfortable shoes Cash (Please note that there are few ATMs in the area and few vendors accept card payments) Also, hydrate well and eat lightly before the ceremony

Are tips or gratuities required ?It not mandatory but is customary to tip guides and field teams as a thank you for excellent service.

What is the size of the group ?This is a private tour. It is available from 1 person. If you are more than 20 people, please contact us for us to quote the service.
